Located approximately 37 kilometres north of Katherine, the 4,286 hectare parcel of land was subdivided into 19 rural lots. MasterPlan created a subdivision design that responds to the distinct features and soil types of the site. This sensitive design created boundaries to minimise potential impacts from erosion, sedimentation and flooding.
The design also used the location of existing fences as new lot boundaries to minimise the need for further firebreak clearing. MasterPlan recommended the slashing of firebreaks, rather than grading, in sensitive areas as a preferred management tool. MasterPlan prepared, lodged and managed the Development Application for the subdivision and gained the relevant clearances for the developer to begin works.
