The owners of the Virginia property sought to subdivide the land. The largely unconstrained 4.5 hectare site allowed a subdivision into two lots and for the existing dwelling and infrastructure to be retained wholly within one lot. MasterPlan obtained timely and cost-efficient development consent for the client and has since provided further advice and services including an Extension of Time application.
MasterPlan conducted a site visit and reviewed the environmental information available. MasterPlan determined there was sufficient evidence to prepare a preliminary land suitability assessment for the site only which avoided the need to separately engage an environmental scientist to prepare a detailed land assessment and represented cost savings to the client.
MasterPlan’s thorough understanding of the legislation resulted in the successful challenge to Council’s request to acquire a five metre strip of land from the lot for road widening purposes. MasterPlan’s position was that this was not a reasonable condition to impose and cannot be allowed without appropriate remuneration, demonstrating our commitment to our clients.
