Foundry Projects, a developer specialising in bespoke, architecturally designed state-of-the-art warehouses, engaged MasterPlan during the due diligence stage to assess the feasibility of a group warehouse development on an underutilised industrial site in Salisbury Plain, South Australia.


Following this preliminary review, our role expanded to securing Planning Consent for the preferred development outcome: a 5,000m² warehouse facility comprising six (6) tenancies with ancillary offices, car parking, signage, and landscaping.


MasterPlan successfully navigated the planning approval process, including responding to Requests for Information, which required targeted design amendments to balance the scale of the built form with the pattern of development in the area. MasterPlan demonstrated that the development was a contemporary facility requiring an increased floor area to accommodate modern commercial and industrial tenancies, representing an emerging and elevated commercial offering comparative to older industrial building stock in the area. This approach maximised the yield and ensured the site delivered valuable employment opportunities and services to the broader community.
