A Planning Scheme Amendment was managed for a 9.5-hectare site in Alice Springs, successfully rezoning the land from Rural Living to Rural Residential to support future subdivision.

Following an initial due diligence phase to gauge in-principal support from NTG Lands Planning and identify key issues and information requirements from relevant service authorities, MasterPlan managed a Planning Scheme Amendment process which resulted in successfully changing the zoning of our client’s land from Rural Living to Rural Residential.

Involving a 9.5ha site in the ‘south of the gap’ area of Alice Springs, the rezoning paves the way for future subdivision of the land at rural residential scale, presenting an opportunity to meet unmet demand for rural residential land in Alice Springs and improve housing and lifestyle choice for the town.
