Major renewable energy facility in South Australia’s Mid North.

Brinkworth Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage Facility is a major renewable energy facility in South Australia’s Mid North, combining 209MWp of solar generation with 300MW of battery energy storage and four hours of storage capacity (1,200MWh).

The project is being delivered in two stages: a 300MW battery energy storage system, developed as exempt development under Schedule 13 of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016, and a 209MWp solar farm, progressed as Crown development for essential infrastructure. Development authorisation granted by the Minister for Planning, February 2025

MasterPlan provided strategic approvals advice and development assessment expertise, supporting the project through its planning and approvals pathway.
