Ongoing statutory planning support was provided for Pearl Retirement Resort in Fannie Bay, assisting Southern Cross Care with rezoning, land consolidation and approvals for new care, wellbeing and retirement living facilities.

MasterPlan has provided ongoing assistance to Southern Cross Care to manage various statutory approval matters for their Pearl Retirement Resort property in Fannie Bay.

This has included:

  • Following acquisition of an adjacent property, successful rezoning of this land and consolidation of the land into SCC’s existing property title.
  • Development consent for a new 26-bed memory support unit and supporting health and wellbeing facility.
  • Development consent for the final stage of the overall Pearl masterplan, to enable development of six new retirement villas.

 

Our role included providing statutory planning input throughout various design phase, coordinating technical inputs, and preparing clear and concise planning reports for consideration and determination by Development Assessment Services. We have also provided post-approval support to assist with clearance of conditions and negotiations with City of Darwin regarding their requirements.
