In 2020, MasterPlan successfully managed the planning approval for the redevelopment of an activity centre in Elizabeth Vale on behalf of Northwest Healthcare Aust Property (Northwest). Located east of the Lyell McEwin Hospital, the Playford Health Hub project transformed the former Elizabeth Vale Shopping Centre into a modern and appealing health precinct.

The redevelopment includes 5,700 square metres of consulting rooms and allied health services, over 500 car parks in a multi-deck car park, and the retention of retail uses to serve the local community in a functional and contemporary design. This development is a highly complementary addition to the Lyell McEwin Hospital and represents a significant private investment in the Playford Council area. 

The approved redevelopment was staged as follows: 

• Stage 1: A seven-storey building featuring ground-floor retail, consulting rooms, and a multi-deck car park. 
• Stage 2: A three-storey building comprising retail spaces and consulting rooms/medical centre, along with associated works such as the relocation of vehicle access points, additional car parking, fencing, and landscaping. 

MasterPlan continues to support Northwest with variation development applications for Stage 2, following the successful construction and operation of Stage 1. 

Additionally, MasterPlan facilitated the preparation and submission of a private hospital as Stage 3 of the Playford Health Hub. Collaborating closely with project architects Silver Thomas Hanley, the development application for the private hospital received planning consent from the City of Playford in 2023. 

This project exemplifies the integration of high-quality healthcare infrastructure, modern urban design, and private investment, contributing to the growth and vibrancy of the Playford community.
