Hobson Distribution

MasterPlan assisted CIP Constructions and their client Hobson Engineering in securing planning consent for Hobson’s new Distribution Facility at East Arm in Darwin. The development provides a storage and distribution centre for Hobson Engineering which is an Australian wide wholesale supplier of fasteners and provides to a range of industries including mining, construction, oil and manufacturing.

The Site is part of the Darwin Business Park development by the NT’s Land Development Corporation, a 200-hectare estate located close to East Arm Wharf, Marine Industry Park and Berrimah Freight Terminal. Zoned DV for strategic industrial uses, Darwin Business Park is a premier location for companies involved in oil, gas, marine, trade and logistic industries.

MasterPlan managed the development approval process, which included navigating a preliminary approval process with the Land Development Corporation to address requirements contained within their Darwin Business Park Development Covenants attached to the site’s title.
