Planning consent was secured for the Northern Land Council’s new Regional Offices in Katherine, supporting the delivery of administrative and ranger services from a consolidated regional hub.

In 2023 MasterPlan obtained planning consent for the new Regional Offices for Northern Land Council in Katherine, following an impact assessment process.

Due to the site’s industrial zoning, the assessment required consideration of the Strategic Framework and successfully demonstrated that the office use was appropriate when collocated on the site with warehouse facilities that enable the NLC to optimally operate and deliver the necessary regional services to their customers and stakeholders, conveniently from one sustainable urban-footprint location.

The facility serves as the NLC’s Regional Hub, accommodating both administrative staff and rangers to provide a full suite of services to Katherine and surrounding areas including Victoria River District, Ngukurr and Borroloola.
